Nick Kroll’s new sketch series, Kroll Show, premieres this Wednesday 1/16 on Comedy Central at 10:30/9:30c, and we’ve stumbled upon a sneak peek at real life Rodney Ruxin’s quick cut satirization of our television obsessed culture.
Not to give too much away from the below video, but Sex and the City for Dudes is a who’s dude of funny people we like, and Wheels Ontario is easily the best fake new show of 2013 and quite possibly the best new show of 2013 altogether. Series guest stars include Fred Armisen, Hannibal Buress, Andy Daly, Jon Daly, Ed Helms, Rob Huebel, John Mulaney and Chelsea Peretti, but I bet you’ll be able to spot way, way more (and not spot some just mentioned at all!).

Nick Kroll is pretty funny when you sandwich him with some cheese and lettuce. A sandwich with just Nick Kroll .. there’s just too much Nick Kroll in my sandwich.
Hit or miss, but he had me at “Poutine Dance.”
how many times is comedy central going to take a comedian and give them a variety-type show that has no good cast support and setup to fail? sarah silverman, demetri martin, jeff dunham, david alan grier, gabriel iglesias (to a lesser extent), etc.
As many times as it takes damn it (but seriously…this is pretty turrible)

Almost something funny in Sex with City for Dudes, but everything else was kind of pathetic. I wonder if any of the these comedians that get a sketch show for Comedy Central talk about how many times Comedy Central has already failed at this.
Like shouldn’t they be having that conversation? And if they are… why the fuck does it still come to this?
Yeah i agree this episode was pretty bad. Dave chappelle was the only comedian that could hold his own on these sketch shows…
and Key & Peele
This just makes me want Workaholics to come back that much quicker.
Doesn’t seem like it’ll hold a candle to Key & Peele, that’s fosho.
Nick Kroll stinks. He just plays a just the same douche character wearing a different costume in pretty much everything he does which just makes me think he’s actually just a douche all the time.
I’m beginning to think only about 2% of all sketch comedy is worth watching. It’s not enough to just do a character and imitate someone! You have to actually have something funny to say! Putting on a wig and doing a voice is lazy. But props to all 5000 comedians getting paid by CC for churning out this crap. It’s damn sure better than my job! And at least that 7 min clip saved me the additional 15 min I would have wasted watching the entire show. Thanks Uproxx! Winky smiley face thumbs up…or something.
