My original intentions were to make this "The 10 Definitive Samuel L. Jackson GIFs," but I wouldn't wish that paring down burden on any man so instead we're going to focus on his most iconic role. It makes sense to. Not only does Sam Jackson share, “After Jules, I became the coolest [expletive] on the planet" in a terrific new interview with The New York Times Magazine, but also because I choose to believe after Jules Winnfield retired from a life of gangstering he joined an elite government organization and rose in the ranks to the point where he gets to be the guy who propositions people to join The Avengers Initiative.
I encourage everyone to share the same belief as thinking about how much Nick Fury enjoys a tasty burger despite practically being a vegetarian because his girlfriend is a vegetarian will add an extra layer to The Avengers when you go see it this weekend. It should also help distract from Captain America's helmet.

Every Samuel L. Jackson movie since Pulp Fiction is instantly improved by the assumption that he is STILL playing Jules, who at this point is just walking the earth, like Caine from Kung Fu, and assuming different jobs/identities in order to broaden his experience.
