Mindy Kaling's new show, The Mindy Project premieres tonight. I presume Mindy Kaling book owners and Dustin Rowles (venn diagram or just a circle?) have already watched the pilot and have an opinion on it.
Since I drink scotch and have conversations about The Wire, I'm already of the opinion it will be too rom-commy and New Girl-y for my tastes. Also there's the whole Office downslide/Kelly Kapoor staleness recency effect to take into account. But much like with Kurp's 20 Reminders, I thought I'd play devil's advocate with myself and reflect on some of the truly enjoyable Kelly Kapoor moments. They haven't made me want to watch The Mindy Project any more than before but they are pretty damn funny. Above via.

From @danharmon on the twitters:
@danharmon: .@mindykaling’s show premieres on FOX tonight. 2 Community writers work on it and NBC didn’t want it. That’s 3 pretty good omens.
Quite the sell job you just did there.
You cant argue with the man’s logic. I did the math. The numbers dont lie!
RELEVENT.
Also, I liked the pilot a lot. Some of the romcom stuff is a little much, but I think she can find a good balance between that and the funny stuff.
“Your momma’s so fat she could eat the internet” is golden. And the show is good, too.
The episode she gives customer service training to the accountants is pretty solid.
