This year's Oscar nominations are in, but instead of continuing our coverage of who got snubbed -- Comic book movies! Looper! Twilight! Matthew McConaughey! -- we're going to take a moment to repeat a yearly tradition. People like to photoshop the Oscar-nominated movies' posters to reflect what the average person thinks about them, and we love collecting the funniest of these honest movie posters in one place. All but two of the modified posters below are for films nominated in the screenplay, acting, best film, or other Academy Award categories (full list of nominees here).
These honest movie posters come from Hypable (thanks to Joshua for sending that link), College Humor, and The Shiznit. Our favorites start on the next page, along with two bonus honest posters for movies that weren't nominated. You can view the rest of the photoshops at Hypable, College Humor, and The Shiznit.

How does Bane eat?
Does Anne Hathaway ever eat?
Back when she was hot she did. Same with Amanda Seyfried and Emma Stone.
Russell Crowe eats all the food
I am so sick of people calling Beasts of the Southern Wild racist. It’s so far off the point it’s infuriating.
I don’t think they’re calling it racist, they’re saying it sounds like it was written by white upper middle class liberal arts majors. And it was.
i agree christian, those people who say it sounds like it was written my white upper middle class liberal arts majors are prolly white middle class art majors…it was an enjoyable artsy folktale…and im getting tired of white people throwing around the “megical negro” term, i get that its a trope but come on
Warning, nerd alert! Michael Haneke, who directed Amour, was actually born in Germany and made most of his earlier films in Austria. So it’s not really “A Film by a FRENCH PERSON.” Sorry to SPOIL THE JOKE for everyone. *gives self a wedgie*
You took the words right out of my mouth.
I haven’t seen or heard of “Beasts of the Southern Wild” until yesterday. from what I saw in the trailer it looks like a mix of Slumdog and Pan’s Labyrinth with Black People which equals Oscar Gold!
I am now never going to be able to see a commercial for Life of Pi without doing a Thurl Ravenscroft impression.
God that Twilight poster. I had almost forgotten it. Alas, now all that forgetting is undone. Why, it’s enough to make me stand on one leg with no expression on my face.
And airbrush myself into oblivion.
So funny. That twilight poster. Oh gods. O_O It’s terrifyingly stupid. That film with magic poor black people in. It looks appaling.
Well, the “Beasts of the Southern Wild” image was kind-of pretty damn racist and not funny, but lincoln/django made me laugh. I also found the batman one to have relatively answerable questions, and it also raises the question “Do people just get really fucking picky about every detail when something doesn’t end exactly how they wanted it to?”
Amour isn’t even French,
Lincoln was great! DDL should win the Oscar and so should the movie. Argo was good also and it beats the hell out of Zero Dark Bullshit in ALL categories, If ZDT wins it’s all political bullshit!
